Job Overview

Inventory Control duties:

Create a working cycle count program, including scheduling,performing and follow-up as necessary.

Monitor and document cycle counts.

Troubleshoot inventory accuracy issues, find root cause ofoutstanding issues and establish countermeasures to reduce and eventuallyeliminate errors and discrepancies.

Responsible for the training and development of new forkliftdrivers.

Test and certify all forklift drivers, provide license andmaintain all certification records

Assign and schedule all duties related to moving, storing,pulling of all stored inventory including cycle counts, line setups, in-boundsand out-bounds.

Track and monitor daily movements

Evaluate all processes related to the accuracy, handling,storing of inventory and make changes as needed.

Monitor, track and maintain Derby owned supplies on aregular basis.

Work with area supervisors toschedule, track, monitor and evaluate daily forklift driver tasks andresponsibilities.

In addition to the inventory control duties, this positionneeds to have the following forklift experience and skills.

Forkliftduties: Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate,stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe andefficient operation of the vehicle

Receiving/Put-Away:Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations using RFscanner. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurateand free of damage. Report any quality variances.

Loading:Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers usingRF scanner.

Supply Lines: Theforklift operator may be required to pull product to production lines using RFscanner and keep line supplied to maintain constant flow of production

Inventory:Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory accuracyis maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Make sure product is pulled inFIFO (first in, first out) order.

Forms: Must useall Derby controlled documents to keep accurate records of deliveries, shipmentand all other material movements.

Maintenance:Perform all required inspections before, during and after use and documentusing appropriate forms. Comply with all Derby safety, quality and GMPpractices while operating forklift.

Tally sheets: Are used to document outbound and inbound shipmentsand must be filled out neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
